We all know Apple produces very nice consumer electronic pieces. But what we don’t like is how they suck a lot of power throughout the day. The XtremeMac InCharge Duo is a new accessory that combines a dock and wall charger and can charge simultaneously with any two iPads, iPods, or iPhones at any time in any combination possible.

The Duo comes at a steep price at $60 (Amazon $30) and comes with adapters that fits your iPad and any model iPhone or iPod. LED indicators are lit when it’s ready for you to jam out and continue using when it’s finished charging.

The InCharge Home system comes in at $35 (Amazon $20) and comes with a 30 pin USB cable and lets you charge two of your devices at the same time.

Look out for these at your Apple stores and directly through XtremeMac soon. While you’re at it, pick up another Apple device when you get there.

Sprint just suffered another blow today to their team. Kevin Packinham (Senior VP for 4G) just left the company effective August 16, 2010. The carrier said he was leaving to lead another company but declined to state the new company. Steve Elfman and product development VP Fared Adib will replace Kevin in the coming weeks.

Packingham leaving does leave a significant gap but left Sprint a mighty jewel with their next 4G phone Samsung Epic 4G. The Samsung Epic 4G, which has WiMAX and a high performance chip excels with a slide-out keyboard and a Super AMOLED screen. The Epic 4G is the only Galaxy S-based phone to have either 4G or a keyboard in it’s line. Although it costs a $250 (after rebate ouch), may help Sprint prevent customers from jumping to AT&T and eventually to Verizon.

This is Sprint’s 2nd departure in recent weeks as their staff has experienced significant high level departures. Sprint says it doesn’t see this as a problem.

WMPoweruser tells us that the hardware buttons may make this HTC Spark spec sheet leak a bit fishy, as Microsoft is notoriously known for requiring new Windows Phone 7 devices to get at least mechanical photo button, search, back and home keys.

If the HTC Spark turns out to launch with Windows Phone 7, it looks like it will have some solid hardware. Of course, the big attraction of the the new operating system will be the software and 3rd party developer ecosystem itself.

Here are some interesting stats for the smartphone market.

Smartphones account for 25% of the mobile phone market.
RIM owns 33% of the smartphone market
Nokia saw a 41% increase in sales
But Android saw a 886% increase in sales

I’m very bearish on Nokia, Microsoft, and Blackberry at the moment but hopefully RIM launches a successful new update on it’s OS for 6.0 (gigaom)

Given that the U.S. currently has the largest smartphone user base — Canalys estimates 14.7 million smartphones were purchased in the U.S. last quarter — it’s easy to overlook the current king of smartphone sales globally: Nokia. In the second quarter of 2010, the Finnish phone-maker sold 23.8 million handsets. Nokia saw a 41 percent growth rate over the prior year’s second quarter sales, which sounds positive, but when compared to Android’s 886 percent gain, Nokia’s growth pales in comparison. The overall smartphone market is growing, which is lifting sales of nearly all. But some — like Android — are clearly growing far faster than others.

AT&T get prepared for your network! After much fanfare, a jailbreak was finally released for the iPhone 4 and it’s about time! After a quick launch of the iPhone 4 jailbreak, FaceTime goes public with 3G access with no WiFi connection. Thanks to My3G, the jailbreak app mimicks your Wi-Fi connection and tricks it into thinking it’s on Wifi and not on 3G. Still 1 to 1 however so if you’re looking for something with more omph, look into iVisit and check out their app. I hear they have it running on those iPhones.

FaceTime for 3G is $2.99 (ouch) on Cydia for it, or $3.99 on Rock (after a free trial). But, FaceTime over 3G might actually make it worth it so go get it!

Tell me how it goes!

We’ve all seen VoIP on the iPod touch before but now Yosion Technology brings out a new product called the Apple Peel 520 and adds voice calling, text messaging, and an extra 800mAh battery to provide up to 4.5 hours of call time / 120 hours of standby awesomeness.

Currently sold in China, this device will be sold anywhere from $44-75 dollars so wait a couple of weeks until it’s tested and proven to work. It may require you to jailbreak your iPod Touch. No word yet if GPRS can work.
